May Goals

It’s a new month and we are almost half way through 2017 already! How did that happen?

I think it’s really important to set goals because it’s a way to keep yourself on track and motivated throughout the year. New Years is a huge time for goal setting, but so many people stop working towards those goals by the time February starts because the inspiration of a new year has faded. Not me, my friends! I try to set goals every month so I can continue to make progress and meet or adjust the goals I made at the beginning of the year. So, let’s get into my goals for May!

No Credit Card Spending

I don’t have a huge credit card balance, but I had my credit card completely paid off at the beginning of the year and I want to work to get it paid off completely. I know I will be using it for a trip I’m going on in June, so I need to not use it at all this month!

Makeup No Buy!

I buy way more makeup than I should, so I’m putting myself on a strict makeup no buy for May. I have everything I need and more, so I really don’t need to spend money on makeup on a whim like I tend to do. That’s honesty my friends! I am the WORST with impulse makeup spending, so I’m grounding myself!

Pay Attention to my Meals

I’m going to be doing a whole blog post on this because there is SO much I want to talk about/hash out for myself regarding my diet (as in what I eat, not like a diet that I’m on), but this month I really want to pay attention to what I’m eating, make sure I’m eating good, whole foods, and minimize snacking out of boredom. I’m all about balance but my diet recently has been way more junk than it should be!

Run Once a Week

I mentioned this in a previous post, but now that it’s nice outside I want to start running more! I had a goal to run 1 mile straight which I met over the weekend (woohoo!) so now it’s just time to increase that mileage. I used to be in great running shape but I fell out of it. I’m excited to get back to running and I’m going to start by just making sure I run once a week. I really enjoy weight lifting and I don’t want to cut back on that, but I need to get out of the elliptical habit!

So those are my goals for May! Totally doable, I just have to make a conscious effort to stay on track!
