June Goals

It’s the end of May already, which means it’s time to make some new goals and go over how I did with my goals for May!

Last month, my goals were to not use my credit card, buy ZERO makeup, pay attention to my eating, and run once a week. I am VERY happy to say that I was successful with most of those goals! I used my credit card only ONCE this month (aside from the dentist appointment I had budgeted) and it was two days ago for a small amount. I didn’t technically meet that goal, but I did very well and I’m proud of myself for not resorting to it. I bought ZERO makeup this month which was crazy! I also did well paying attention to my eating and, while I didn’t run once a week, I did run about 5 times this month. Overall, the month was pretty successful!

This month, my goals are a bit different.

No Credit Card Use

I will have this goal every month until it is paid off. I do have one expense I will use it for this month but, aside from that one thing, no credit card use!

Continue to Track Food

I saw a lot of progress in May and I want to continue to see progress! I’m going to continue tracking my food in a positive and constructive way in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Run a 5k

I am registered for a 5k at the end of this month, so my goal is to finish it! I have no doubts that I will be able to, but I am just getting back into running after a pretty significant hiatus due to an IT band injury so it’s been slow going. I will also be pushing Maddie in her stroller which I haven’t done for more than a mile so we will see how it goes!

Weight Loss Goal

Generally, I don’t have a goal for weight loss since the scale is really a crappy way to measure success, but I do know that I have some weight to lose so my goal is to lose 1 pound this month. I don’t want to make insane weight loss goals because I find that bigger goals tend to derail my progress instead of improve it, so I’m looking at it one pound at a time and then I’ll reassess as I make progress to see how my goals need to change.

Overall, I think these goals are very doable and I’m excited to get to work on them!
